Jobs Through Recycling (JTR)

EPA's goal is to use recycling programs to create jobs as well as to
minimize waste that would otherwise go into landfills.  This recently
updated site contains information on financing, grants and community
involvement, as well as highlights programs and activities around the
country.   This site also serves as a national information network to
facilitate the sharing of recycling market development information and
provides links to other resources for technical assistance.


Holiday Waste Reduction Home Page

The winter holidays generate a lot of waste.  This site, from the
California Integrated Waste Management Board, offers simple and creative
tips to help reduce the load on our landfills.


European Recycling and the Environment

This site is a comprehensive source for recycling in the UK, specifically,
and Europe, in general.  Find links to the Recycling World Magazine
featuring detailed articles on current topics affecting UK recycling,
learn the latest prices for recyclable materials, or browse a library of
recycling articles spanning the range of industries.  Also, see the
Recyclers' Corner for a directory of recycling materials, machinery, and


Global Recycling Network (GRN)

GRN is a free-access public site dedicated to recycling-related
information with links to news, commodities prices, and stock quotes. 
Their reference library for recycling information includes laws and
regulations, and information on grants and other incentive programs. 
Visit Recycle Talk, an interactive discussion group for posting recycling
questions or answering those posted by others.


The information provided in Internet NewsBrief was correct, to the best of
