More Detailed RTK Net TRI Facility Report

1 All amounts are in pounds.
2 Each TRI facility is required by law to provide accurate locational data (longitude and latitude). EPA checks these to some degree, correcting some, and creates two new categories, preferred latitude and preferred longitude. When available SVTC used the EPA preferred latitude and longitude to locate the TRI facilities on the maps. In these cases the "Preferred Lon/Lat?" field (above) says "YES." Where no preferred latitude and longitude is available, SVTC geocoded the facilities using their street address. In these cases the "Preferred Lon/Lat?" field says "NO/SVTC." Also, some facilities are too close together to differentiate. SVTC "moved" the facility slightly so that those in close proximity can be identified on the maps. In these cases the "Preferred Lon/Lat?" field says "YES/ADJ."

It is important to note that TRI releases and locational information are self-reported. If a facility incorrectly reports its locational data we should question the accuracy of their self-reported releases as well. For more about this and TRI in general we suggest that you visit EPA's official TRI website, http://www.epa.gov/opptintr/tri/index.htm.

If you think a facility is incorrectly located please let us know.
