SEEK is dedicated to helping communities communicate
the various facets of environmental, health and social
problems in such a way that they educate and raise
community awareness, ultimately resulting in:
- Increased awareness of the negative impacts on human and ecosystem
health
of resource exhaustion, pollution, radiation, and biodiversity loss.
- Healthy economies that use local renewable resources in new and
innovative ways for the production of goods in such a way that
satisfy local needs and restore, rather than degrade the
environment.
- Healthy communities that provide decent, affordable shelter, cultural
respect, safety and health, and meaningful work for all.
SEEK provides low cost services and products to environmental
and community groups. Some of these are GIS training, interactive
www mapping projects, data aquisition, webspace, and GIS map layers.
